Tell the Supreme Court to Enforce the New Ethics Code

After years of public pressure, the Supreme Court has announced it is adopting a new ethics code for the Justices.

Concerns about the Justices’ conduct, such as Clarence Thomas’ undisclosed gifts and Samuel Alito’s failure to recuse himself from cases with a conflict of interest are just a couple of examples of issues that have raised public concern.

However, it seems there is no real enforcement of this new set of “rules.”

Worse, none of the alleged ethical breaches by Justices that have been reported in the past several years would likely be a violation of the outlined code of conduct.

If the Supreme Court wants to earn back public trust, it needs to hold Justices accountable for their actions and disclose important information. But that won’t happen unless we demand it.

Sign the petition urging the Supreme Court to strengthen and actually enforce its new ethics code.
