Tell the DOJ: Investigate Trump for Logan Act Violations

The Logan Act is legislation that makes it illegal for American citizens to negotiate with foreign governments in dispute with the United States without prior approval.

Despite that, Donald Trump, who is a civilian, not the president, met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban at his Mar-a-Lago resort amid Russia’s Ukraine invasion.

The Department of Justice should investigate this meeting to determine whether or not Donald Trump violated the Logan Act.

Donald Trump’s meeting is not only potentially a violation of the Logan Act, it is hypocritical to previous comments he has made.

Attorney Ethan Bearman said, “I’m old enough to remember when then President Trump said John Kerry should be prosecuted for violating the Logan Act for speaking with Iran. Trump is not President, he has no immunity.”

Trump is not above the law. Time and time again that has been proven. He cannot hold sensitive meetings at his personal estate.
