Tell Major Corporations: Invest in Diversity Efforts

Goldman Sachs is ending its “Launch with GS” diversity initiative after claiming that it has fulfilled its investment of $1 billion into companies led by people of color and women.

They aren't abandoning their commitment to diversity but have since moved staff members working on the launch to other projects. This raises a fundamental question: Why are they stopping the project when there is so much more work to be done?

Goldman Sachs continues to work on its One Million Black Women initiative, but those who are women or people of color have found it difficult in recent years to raise funds. Diversity efforts in the workplace are always important.

Sign the petition to urge major corporations to invest in diversity efforts.

The decision from Goldman Sachs comes against the backdrop of a conservative campaign to attack and undermine corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives.

In a recent Wall Street Journal piece entitled “Pop goes the DEI Bubble”, the author claimed that the “unraveling of ‘diversity, equity and inclusion’ initiatives had already begun.

And now, Elon Musk and other right-wing reactionaries are blaming Boeing’s struggles on the company’s efforts to diversify its workforce.

Diversity makes our communities and companies stronger. Join us in pushing back against conservative lies about diversity, equity and inclusion policies, and sign the petition urging corporations to continue to invest in diversity efforts.
