Tell Congress: Don't Let Trump Take Away Birth Control

The Supreme Court is on the verge of handing Donald Trump the power to gut one of the most essential parts of the Affordable Care Act—and his allies are already lining up to make it happen. If they succeed, millions could lose access to no-cost birth control, cancer screenings, HIV prevention, and more.

This case challenges the federal task force that decides what preventive services insurance must cover. If the Court sides with right-wing activists, it could strip that authority and allow Trump’s Department of Health and Human Services to decide what care is “essential”—giving his administration the power to slash coverage for birth control and other lifesaving services.

This is a direct threat to basic health care that countless Americans rely on. Preventive care saves lives, improves public health, and ensures people—especially women, LGBTQ+ people, and low-income families—can access the services they need without facing crushing medical bills.

We have to act now to stop the Trump administration from stealing access to birth control and preventative care from millions of Americans.

We know exactly what Trump would do if the Supreme Court rules in his favor. His first term was defined by relentless attacks on reproductive health care and the ACA. He’s already promised to go even further if given the chance—and this Supreme Court ruling could be the green light he needs.

But Congress can stop this. Lawmakers can pass legislation to guarantee access to no-cost preventive care, regardless of who controls the White House. With Republican majorities in both chambers, the pressure must come from us.

If Congress doesn’t act, they’re not just standing by—they’re enabling Trump’s assault on our health care. We cannot afford to let this happen.
