Sign the Petition: Every School Needs a Nurse

Imagine if your child was injured at school, but had to wait for hours to receive medical attention because their school didn't have a nurse.

That's the reality for millions of families throughout the United States.

In fact, according to a study by the National Association of School Nurses, more than one-third of all schools in the United States don't have a nurse.

Sign the petition if you agree that every school in the United States should have a dedicated school nurse.

The shortage of school nurses couldn't come at a worse time. In addition to the childhood mental health crisis, chronic illnesses like asthma and diabetes are on the rise among K-12 students.

To make matters worse, the lack of school nurses is also contributes to kids missing school. A study in the Journal of School Nursing found that schools without a school nurse were far more likely to send kids home for mild illnesses and injuries, causing them to miss time in school and creating child care challenges for their families.

Our kids and families deserve better. Add your name to the petition if you agree that every school in the United States should have a dedicated school nurse.
