Aileen Cannon was nominated to be a district judge by Donald Trump on his way out of office in 2020.

Now, she's overseeing Trump's classified documents case – and she's doing everything in her power to delay the trial until after the election and let Trump off the hook.

Throughout the process, Cannon has repeatedly made questionable rulings in Trump's favor, raising speculation that she is doing what's best for Trump instead of following the law.

Most recently, Cannon rejected a routine request from Special Counsel Jack Smith, raising the alarm of legal experts.
