Hold YouTube Accountable for Spying on Kids

According to an unsettling new report in the New York Times, YouTube's broken advertising practices just made it possible multi-national corporations to track kids' behavior across the internet.

The report, based on research from ad-tracking company Adalytics, raises questions about whether YouTube and its parent companies Google and Alphabet violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, which requires parental consent to collect personal data from people under 13 years of age.

Now, two U.S. Senators – Democrat Ed Markey of Massachusetts and Republican Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee – are calling on the Federal Trade Commission to investigate whether the companies broke the law.

Sign the petition urging the Federal Trade Commission to hold YouTube and its parent company full accountable for violating kids' privacy.
