Expel Racist Republican Rep. Clay Higgins from Congress

Republican Rep. Clay Higgins just published a vile, racist post on social media, targeting Haitian immigrants with hateful rhetoric.

He described them as "slapstick gangsters" who "ate pets" and practiced "vudu." Higgins then threatened Haitians, stating they should "get their mind right and their ass out of our country" before the next presidential inauguration.

Appropriately, these disgusting comments have drawn widespread outrage and condemnation from fellow members of Congress and the public.

Higgins’ hateful and dangerous comments show he is unfit to serve in the United States Congress. That's why we're calling on Speaker of the House Mike Johnson to expel Rep. Higgins from Congress.

Racism, ignorance, and hate speech have no place in Congress. Sign the petition if you agree.

Sadly, Higgins' latest outburst is not an isolated incident. In 1992, while serving as an Army military policy officer, he referred to former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke as a "homeboy," revealing his troubling connection with white supremacist ideologies.

More recently, Higgins has stirred controversy with other incendiary posts, such as promising to "drop" armed protesters "where they stand" and spreading false conspiracy theories about the January 6th Capitol attack.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson's pathetic defense of Higgins—claiming that he "regretted" the post and "prayed about it"—further illustrates the deep-rooted racism within certain factions of the Republican Party.

We must make it clear that such views are unacceptable for any public official. Sign our petition to demand that Congress take immediate action to expel Rep. Clay Higgins for his hateful rhetoric and connections to white supremacy.
