Don’t Allow Trump on TikTok

Donald Trump has joined TikTok — the popular short-form video social media platform. Trump joining the platform ensures that misinformation about the 2024 election and other topics will be prevalent on the app in the coming months.

Trump was previously banned from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for his violent-inducing posts and misinformation. TikTok should take a stand against disinformation by making it clear that Trump isn’t welcome on its platform.

When Trump was president, he tried to ban TikTok. But now says, “Frankly, there are a lot of people on TikTok that love it. There are a lot of young kids on TikTok who will go crazy without it.” 

Donald Trump should not be trusted on a social media platform that many young people have access to. His violent threats and misinformation are dangerous and should not be circulating around online.
