Denounce the Supreme Court's Attack on LGBTQ Rights

In yet another backwards decision, the Supreme Court on Friday denied the Biden administration's request to reinstate regulations protecting Americans from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity and pregnancy status.

It's just the latest attack in a series of Republican attempts to treat LGBTQ people and women like second class citizens.

The Biden administration anti-discrimination rules, which came as part of an update to the Department of Education's Title IX rule, were originally opposed by Republican attorneys general in more than two dozen states.

"All young people deserve to show up to school and get an education without facing the threat of discrimination and bigotry," said Sarah Lipton-Lubet, president of the advocacy group Take Back the Court. "But five cruel justices on the Supreme Court just put countless LGBTQ+ students' health, safety, and lives in jeopardy."
